Second Harvest is the largest food rescue organization in Canada and global thought leader on food recovery. They work across the supply chain from farm to retail to capture surplus food before it ends up in the landfill which negatively impacts our environment.

The Winnipeg Foundation

The Winnipeg Foundation connects donors from all walks of life with local charitable organizations that help our city flourish, for all. The Foundation is an endowment-based organization which means gifts received are pooled and invested. The income generated provides a stable source of support for our community For Good. Forever.
The Foundation makes community grants to charitable organizations in support of the following Cause areas: Arts, Culture & Heritage, Children, Youth & Families, Environment & Animal Welfare, Health, Wellness & Recreation, Literacy, Education & Employment. In 2019, it distributed $57.5 million to the community.
Established in 1921, The Winnipeg Foundation is Canada’s first community foundation. Today, it is a leader in what has become an international philanthropic movement.

United Way Winnipeg

To help Winnipeg families plan for & earn a brighter future, donations to United Way are invested in money management and matched savings programs, financial counselling, social enterprise and employment training programs that help people build their assets for long-term stability.

Cobs Bread

We bake fresh in-house all day, every day, and when we close our doors, we donate our leftover baked goods to local charities. The next morning, we start fresh. Let’s toast to being different.

FoodRescue.ca

FoodRescue.ca is the creation of Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization.
Rescuing surplus food for since 1985, we’ve matched food donations from generous businesses, who understand the importance of recovering healthy, nutritious food and diverting it to those in need.

Leftovers

Leftovers works with local restaurants, bakeries, grocers, and distributors in Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg to ensure edible food is kept out of the landfill by redirecting it to service agencies and into the hands of those who need it most.

Peak of the Market

Peak of the Market is a “not for profit” company driven by a dedicated group of growers and staff, with the goal of providing our customers with the best quality and service available. 

Titan Marketing Solutions

Titan Marketing Solutions redeveloped, manages, maintains, and hosts our website, They have also provided our staff and volunteers with additional digital marketing training so we can continue to get our message out.

Winnipeg Harvest

Winnipeg Harvest is a not-for-profit, community-based organization. Their goals are to collect and share surplus food with people who are hungry and to offer training opportunities to help people step up and out of poverty. Their ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for food banks in our community. Founded in 1984, Winnipeg Harvest opened its doors on July 1, 1985. Their immediate goal was and continues to be feeding hungry people.
